About Julie Michelle

The Divine Commons began long before it had a name. It grew slowly through years of teaching, listening, writing, practicing, gathering in circle, and asking the question: What becomes possible when we remember that growth is not linear, but deepening through seasons?

I created The Divine Commons as a home for inquiry, embodiment, creativity, and belonging. Here, the wisdom of the natural year serves as both companion and teacher, reminding us that every season asks something different of us—and that every return brings us deeper into ourselves.

At the heart of this work is The Bodied Approach to Inquiry ©: an embodied philosophy and living ecology of self-inquiry, care, growth, and community. Rather than offering quick answers or rigid formulas, it invites us to move our questions through the body, through relationship, through the seasons, and through lived experience until they become part of who we are.

The Divine Commons is expressed through women's circles, curriculum, guided journals, facilitation training, and shared practices of reflection and becoming. These offerings are not separate from one another; they are different expressions of the same living body of work. The Journal supports the individual. The Circle holds the community.

The Divine Commons draws inspiration from the historical commons—shared places where people lived, worked, celebrated, grieved, and marked the turning of the seasons—and serves as the wider ecosystem in which all of these offerings belong. Someday, I hope The Commons will also become a physical place where this work can be lived together.

My hope is that this becomes a place where women and femmes find not only insight, but companionship. A place where curiosity is welcomed, wisdom is shared rather than possessed, and becoming is honored as a lifelong spiral instead of a destination.

Welcome. I'm so glad you're here.
